A three-point weekend for BC Courrendlin

The Jura newcomer is already halfway through the season. However, before he could put the rackets away for a while, he had two battles left to fight. This weekend started in Geneva on Saturday. This trip to Lake Geneva represented an important meeting for the Jura residents. The latter faced BC Rousseau, the red lantern at the dawn of this match. It was ultimately with a score of parity that the two teams parted ways.
The men’s delegation of the Jurassiens unfortunately proved inferior to that of the locals, apart from captain Noé Varrin, who brilliantly won his singles as well as the mixed alongside Eugénie Chapuis. The latter was also able to win in the women’s doubles accompanied by Marion Varrin, who also raised her arms in the singles.
Many Jurassians on the ground
On Sunday, it was with a derby that this first round brought down its curtain. Courrendlin welcomed BC La Chaux-de-Fonds into its room, which has in its ranks two products from the Jura region, Adrian Joliat and Matthieu Beuchat, both trained in Courrendlin. So there was a reunion in the air. And if this meeting offered suspense and a fierce fight to the spectators, Courren-dlin still suffered another narrow defeat (3-5). Just like the day before, the players Eugénie Chapuis and Marion Varrin performed perfectly by winning the doubles together and, for the second, the singles. Eugénie Chapuis also had another mixed victory with Noé Varrin. The latter also came close to placing the fourth pawn during his singles, lost in five sets after a big fight. This was also the case in singles III, where five sets were necessary, but without greater success. Finally, the men’s doubles and number II singles went in favor of the visitors, in three sets.
Courrendlin now has until mid-January to prepare for his return to the field. Despite this weekend without a victory, the Jurassiens are currently in 6e place. The maintenance objective is, for the moment, on track.
