Tennis. Wimbledon (Q) – Jules Marie: “Really the emotional elevator for 2 days”

What a day for Jules Marie. The Norman, alternating after having sent a daring withdrawal request to Andy Murray, was finally drafted to compete in the first round of qualifying for Wimbledon. 15 minutes later, he faced the Parisian Luca Van Assche. After a first round lost sharply, 6-1 – his first set of the season on grass -, the French tennis player-videographer bounced back well to win the second round, before serving for the match and losing 10- 8 in the super tie-break of the third set. An emotional lift, summed up by the 230th player in the world on Instagram.

“Not bad without doing a single training set”

Good not bad without a preparation tournament and without doing a single training set“, reacted on Instagram Jules Marie after the meeting. “What a horror to serve with new balls at 5/3 (5-4, Editor’s note) in the 3rd… Everything happened so quickly. I’m going from alternate status to player + match status in 10′, it’s pretty crazy. Then 2 hours later, I serve for the match and then tie-break 3rd. Really the emotional elevator for 2 days” he wrote in an Instagram story, accompanied by the score of the match: 6-1, 3-6, 7-6(8).
