Oud-Heverlee Louvain consolidated its place at the top of the Lotto Super League, the Belgian women’s championship, after its 0-2 victory (halftime: 90-1) at Westerlo on Saturday for the 10th day.

The Red Flame Hannah Eurlings opened the scoring (0-1) in the 9th minute, before the Campinoises were reduced to ten after the red card of Aster Janssens (27th).

The Louvanists scored their second goal on a penalty converted by Julie Biesmans (55th, 0-2) after the break.

The purples confirm against Ghent

This fourth consecutive victory allows OHL to maintain first place in the championship with 25 points, despite the success, 2-1 (halftime: 1-0), of RSCA Women (23 points), who beat La Gantoise.

Luna Vanzeir (45th+1, 1-0), three days after her hat-trick against Zulte Waregem (7-0) in an alignment match, and the Dutch Maxime Bennink (59th, 2-0), scored two goals ahead of Anderlechtoises, before Karlen Helsen (88th, 2-1) reduced the score at the end of the match.

The purples thus confirmed their success, 2-0, last month in the round of 16 of the Cup against the same team.

It gets complicated for Standard

Standard Fémina, although beaten 4-3 (halftime: 2-2) at Club YLA, remains third (17 points), but is still losing ground on the leading duo.

The former Rouche Davinia Vanmechelen (3rd, 43rd on pen.), in the first half, and the Swiss Stefanie Da Eira (66th on pen., 71st), in the second half, each offered themselves a double to allow the Brugesoises (6th, 12 pts) to win.

Former Anderlecht player Mariam Toloba (27th, 82nd on pen.) and Amber Barrett (45th) scored the Liège goals.

Finally the Genk Ladies, still fifth (14 points) just behind Westerlo (15 points), won 1-2 at Zulte Waregem, where Lisa Petry (16th, 86th) doubly responded to Minke Lalkens’ opening goal for the Flandriennes (1-0, 14th), who remain eighth and last with 3 points.

The ranking: OHL 25 points, Anderlecht (23 pts), Standard (17), Westerlo (15), Genk (14), Club Bruges (12), La Gantoise (7) and Zulte Waregem (3).

On the program for the next day (November 22 and 23): La Gantoise – Standard; Club Brugge – Genk; Anderlecht – Westerlo and OHL – Zulte Waregem.
