Official press release: Adèle Connesson joins ASSE

A native of Paris, Adèle Connesson is a child of Lorraine where she took her first steps as a footballer under the colors of MJC Pichon located in Nancy. But it was in Moselle, with ES Metz, that young Adèle reached her first milestone. Under the green colors of the Metz club, the very young striker, then aged 13, caught the eye of her city’s flagship club, FC Metz.

In 2017, Adèle Connesson joined the FCM. She then completed all the stages of training, notably playing several U19 National matches before joining the first team. In the attacking lane, she quickly played several D2 Women’s matches at the age of 17.

In the winter of 2021, Adèle Connesson’s rapid progress resulted in a departure for Stade de Reims, which has since become a sure bet in Arkema Premier League. Despite her young age, the versatile attacker quickly made a place for herself in the professional group, alternating between training with the big leagues and matches played in the U19 National. At the end of her adventure in Reims, at just 20 years old, she finally made 11 appearances in the Arkema Premier League.

Adèle Connesson’s progress will now continue in the Green jersey. Building on her international experience, symbolized by four selections and a very recent success at the Sud Ladies Cup with the French U20s where she was able to rub shoulders with Faustine Bataillard, the attacker arrives in Forez. Welcome Adèle!

Adèle Connesson :I am very happy to join AS Saint-Étienne and to stay in Arkema Première Ligue. My goal this season is to find playing time and launch my career at the highest level. ASSE has an ambitious project and I am too. I can’t wait to start preparing, get back on the pitch and discover my new teammates in this new Green jersey.

Laurent Mortel, ASSE coach:Adèle is a young international player, likely to make the World Cup in her category. She is an offensive player capable of playing in several positions and finishing actions well. With her young age, she already has this reputation as a finisher, a scorer. Her arrival is very interesting, she will balance the squad which has been built with experienced players because Adèle is a young person eager for playing time, capable of disrupting the hierarchy that can become established.

Adèle Connesson’s “Green Future” commitment

As part of its “Green Future” CSR approach, AS Saint-Étienne offers each of its employees, including its players, the opportunity to commit to one of the four areas of its ASSE Cœur-Vert association: Environment, Citizenship, Sport for all and Health.

This season, Adèle Connesson will participate in actions around Sport for all.
