Except that the match turned irrational in added time, with the equalizing goal from Shelton Guillaume (90′), who scored a double straight away from the penalty spot (90’+5) and offered qualification to the Vendéens.
Like the finalist of the 2018 edition, Angoulême brought down an opponent playing two levels above: the ACFC, relegated to N2, offered Rodez, quarter-finalist two years ago, at the Camille-Lebon stadium (2-1). Paul Venot (42′) struck first, before Théo Chauvier made the break (75′). The reduction of the gap by Tawfik Bentayeb (90′) changed nothing.
And since it was said that this evening would do damage, Paris FC did not escape it. Leader of the championship and in the process of being bought by the Arnault family, the capital club was knocked out as soon as it entered the fray by QRM, in Charléty (1-1, 2-4 tab). Belkacem Dali Amar opened the scoring for the Normans (17′), before Nouha Dicko equalized quite quickly (29′) and nothing was scored until the penalty shootout. A session ideally managed by QRM, sent to the next round thanks to the successful attempt by Yanis Dede-Lhomme (2-4 tab).
