Sport, the key to collective values

The sporting activities taking place in Cahors, the students had to stay four days at the Mas de Saboth holiday village, staying in bungalows. “It’s a great community experience for the students, in a beautiful setting. Developing the notion of the collective among young people through sport is an aspect that should not be neglected, and this event allows it,” shares Olivier Barella, teacher of physical education and sports at Saint-Céré college. VSThis experience creates a bond for all these middle school students.

By refusing to finance the passage of the Olympic flame which required 180,000 euros, the Department was able to promote sporting and cultural events like this. Several parents of students said they were very happy that their sons and daughters were participating in the tournaments, and that they themselves were just as happy. Earlier this year, they carried out a similar week focused on the 2023 Rugby World Cup.

These college Olympic Games left lasting memories and certainly some aches and pains.
