Club: Mbappé demands €100 million from PSG, which calms things down

No longer paid by PSG since April, Kylian Mbappé has put the Parisian club on notice and is demanding nearly €100 million in total. For its part, the club says it is continuing to negotiate with the future Real Madrid player.

The information fell on Friday evening on the L’Equipe website, in the middle of France/Netherlands (0-0), a match that Kylian Mbappé finally watched from the sidelines. According to information from the sports daily, confirmed by RMC Sport and Le Parisien, Kylian Mbappé has given PSG formal notice and is demanding nearly €100 million in total by June 30.

A formal notice sent to the LFP. Mbappé is demanding from PSG his salary for April and May, which have not been paid to him, just like that for June, which PSG does not intend to pay him. In addition to these months of salary, the future Real Madrid player is also demanding several bonuses not paid by PSG.

“Negotiations continue” according to PSG

L’Equipe specifies that justice has not yet been taken to court, only the LFP therefore, and that an agreement can still be found between the parties, who have exchanged several letters in recent months. Contacted by the newspaper, PSG calmed things down by affirming that the “negotiations continue” with the Mbappé clan.

According to L’Equipe, Mbappé in any case does not want to give any gifts to PSG, who for their part have another version of the facts and another reading of the events. Last summer, after learning that their player did not want to extend, PSG decided to sell Mbappé, who refused to leave and was therefore sidelined during summer preparation.

The top scorer in the club’s history was finally reinstated after reaching an agreement with its president consisting in particular of giving up certain bonuses, under certain conditions. But this oral agreement was then shattered and PSG therefore decided to withhold several salaries and bonuses from its player to find their way financially.

The two parties have since negotiated to find common ground, but with his formal notice, Mbappé proves that he does not intend to leave money behind and that his resentment towards Nasser Al-Khelaïfi is profound, as his outing on June 4 at a press conference had already clearly illustrated.
