Gabriel Moscardo will return… to leave immediately

At the end of the summer transfer window, Saint-Germain loaned Gabriel Moscardo to Stade de . It was a one-season loan with no option to purchase. Its aim was to allow the Brazilian to acclimatize to Europe and continue his progress by having more playing time than in Paris. But all this did not go as planned.

Indeed, after eleven days of Ligue 1, the 19-year-old Brazilian midfielder has not played a single minute with the Champagne club. First confined to the bench, before being injured in September, he remained on the bench again during the matches in October even though he was fit to play.

PSG wants to shorten the loan to lend it abroad

Luka Elsner, the Reims coach, does not seem to consider him at all. A situation which is of course starting to irritate Paris Saint-Germain, who did not at all imagine this loan going like this. Consequently and according to information from PSG Inside Actus on X, Gabriel Moscardo's loan to Reims will probably be cut short.

The former Corinthians player will return to the capital club this winter, but not to stay there, but to be immediately loaned to a foreign club. PSG, which is targeting another Brazilian midfielder this winter, wants him to play on loan during this second half of the season before thinking about integrating him into its squad next season.

Gabriel Moscardo played this Wednesday with Reims

“The only solution for him to stay in would be to see him play more regularly,” indicates this account specializing in PSG news. The situation surrounding the Moscardo case could change in the coming weeks and between now and the winter transfer window since he played his first minutes with Reims this Wednesday.

The Brazilian midfielder wore the Reims jersey for the first time during a friendly match against Olympique Charleroi (2-0). During this meeting, he caused a penalty which he himself subsequently converted. We'll see if these friendly debuts will convince Luka Elsner to also use him in Ligue 1 when he returns from the international break.
