Nino Niederreiter’s Winnipeg Jets on Tuesday became the first team in NHL history to win 15 of their first 16 games. They won 6-3 against the New York Rangers.

At Madison Square Garden, the Jets signed their 7th victory in a row thanks to two doubles (Kyle Connor and Mark Scheifele). Nino Niederreiter, however, did not score a point during this historic victory.

The Devils stop the champion

Well helped by their goalkeeper Jacob Markström, who stopped 34 of the 35 shots the Florida Panthers sent him, the Devils won 4-1 at Sunrise. This success against the reigning champion, who had won his last 7 matches, bears the mark of the Swiss from New Jersey.

Designated first star, Timo Meier scored 2-1, his 7th goal of the season on an action initiated by Jonas Siegenthaler, credited with an assist. Nico Hischier then stood out by offering Paul Cotter the puck for 3-1.

Pius Suter also shone on Tuesday, participating in Vancouver’s victory over Calgary (3-1). Served in the slot between four Flames players, the Zurich Canucks striker scored the decisive 2-1, his 6th success since the start of the year.
