Like every year at the same time, the city of Ghent is preparing to experience a week to the rhythm of track cycling. The Six Days, two centuries old, are a true reference in the discipline. From Tuesday to Sunday a series of events will take place such as the scratch, the time trial, the points race, American style, by elimination or even behind derny. Last season, they devoted Lindsay De Vylder et Robbe Ghys for the second year in a row.
If the startlist is not yet known, big names have already confirmed their presence. This is the case of the French Benjamin ThomasOlympic champion and double world champion in the omnium, who will be one of the main headliners. On the road, the 29-year-old rider from Cofidis won a stage of the Tour of Italy this year. His partner at Kuipke has yet to be revealed.
For ladies, the inevitable Lotte Kopecky will participate in the Ladies Cup, scheduled for the fourth and fifth evenings each time with an elimination race and a points race. Two disciplines where Kopecky is the reigning world champion. The Belgian is also the reigning two-time road world champion.
