Lhe Spanish club Villarreal confirmed on Sunday that its Moroccan striker, Ilias Akhomach, suffers from a ruptured cruciate ligament in his right knee, contracted last Saturday during the match counting for the 13e La Liga day.
The Moroccan international, who left the field on a stretcher during his team’s victory against Alavés (3-0), “suffers a complete rupture of the anterior cruciate ligament and a sprain of the medial lateral ligament in his right knee”, specified the Spanish club on the social network X.
Zakaria Aboukhlal, 24, has scored four goals this season in eleven games played with Toulouse.
Walid Regragui called up 26 players in anticipation of the Moroccan selection’s matches against Gabon on November 15 in Franceville and Lesotho on the 18th of the same month at the Oujda stadium of honor.
