The Tangier-Tétouan-Al Hoceima regional league is organizing, from November 18 to 23, the 3rd edition of the international cycling tour of the region, under the aegis of the Royal Moroccan Cycling Federation (FRMC).

This tour, organized with the support of the Tangier-Tetouan-Al Hoceima Region Council, on the occasion of the 49th anniversary of the Green March and the 69th anniversary of Independence Day, will see the participation of cyclists from the ten leagues regional cycling teams affiliated with the FRMC, as well as foreign teams from Saudi Arabia, the United Arab Emirates, , the Netherlands and Luxembourg.

It will take place in 6 stages linking the cities of the Tangier-Tetouan-Al Hoceima region, the longest of which will be the first, linking Ouezzane to Ksar El Kébir over a distance of 149 km, indicates a press release from the Federation.

The choice of cities hosting this event was made in coordination between the FRMC and the Regional Council, taking into account the natural, cultural and civilizational specificities of the Northern region.

This event mainly aims to highlight the geographical and economic potential of the region, as well as the major projects launched in the region, under the enlightened leadership of HM King Mohammed VI, reports the same source.

The Tour du will begin with a first stage linking Ouezzane to Ksar El Kébir, then Larache to Tétouan, while the following stages will link Amtar (Chefchaouen province) to Al Hoceima, Al Hoceima to Issaguen, Amtar to Chefchaouen, and Chefchaouen to Ouezzane .

It should be noted that the title of the last edition was won by the Moroccan cyclist Oussama Khafi, from the Guelmim-Oued Noun region, who came first in the general classification by points, after a fierce fight with the French team.
