Luis attacks!
Beaten by São Paulo in the final last year, Flamengo in a hurry to get revenge by lifting the Brazilian Cup this Sunday. 3-1 winner of the first leg against Atlético Mineiro de Hulk, Mengão finished the job by winning again on the return thanks to a late goal from Gonzalo Plata (0-1). Seeing the team of Gabriel Barbosa and former Marseillais Gerson lift a trophy was, however, nothing obvious barely a month ago.
The red and black club had in fact decided to parting ways with his trainer Tite on September 30. Filipe Luís, who until then coached the U20sthen took over. The former full-back, who notably played for Atlético de Madrid and Chelsea, ultimately did remarkably well for his first experience at this level since he posted a record of six wins, one draw and one defeat Since.
The Cholo has something to be proud of.
