It has finally arrived: Paradethe anthem of the Paris 2024 Olympic Games, is available to listen to on all streaming platforms starting this Friday, September 13. Two versions have been revealed: one lasts more than 11 minutes while the other, more condensed, lasts 5 minutes 40. And Victor Le Masne, musical director of the Olympic Games and composer of the title, has suggestions on the best times to listen to them:

“While doing sports, or in the morning before going to class or work,” he told BFMTV.

“It surprised me a lot: there was a middle school, then two, then three, and now high schools that have taken Parade as a ringtone, instead of their usual ringtone,” he joked. For him, the song represents “both motivation and the festive aspect.”

Album coming soon?

Unveiled on May 8, when the Olympic flame arrived in Marseille, this title punctuated the entire Olympic sequence: it resonated during the torch relays, ceremonies, medal presentations, competitions, etc.

This release of Parade Does it allow us to hope for an album of the opening ceremony, which saw Lady Gaga perform as Zizi Jeanmaire, Celine Dion interpret Edith Piaf and Aya Nakamura pay tribute to Charles Aznavour? Victor Le Masne hopes so… but makes no promises:

“The idea is that it comes out,” he assured. “We are trying, and I hope to succeed. (But) for the pieces that I have rearranged for others, I think about what I was able to do for Lady Gaga or Aya Nakamura, we will see. There is a lot of desire, (but) it is more complicated.” And to conclude: “Things happen.”
