The period of tension between Al Ahly player Hussein El Shahat and Moroccan defender Mohamed Chibi, player of Pyramids FC, ended during a spontaneous meeting during a star awards ceremony year in Cairo.
During this event, the two players warmly shook hands, thus ending their conflict which began in July 2023, when Chibi was attacked by El Shahat during an Egyptian championship match.
Following this incident, the Moroccan defender took the case to court, which led to El Shahat being sentenced to prison, a fine, as well as a ban on exercising any administrative function in the sport for five years.
It should be noted that during their last confrontation on the field, Chibi was expelled after a violent intervention on El Shahat, before reconciliation took place during the awards ceremony.
