New troubles to be expected for motorists in Paris. After the closure of Place de la Concorde and the Alexandre III Bridge, two new major axes in the capital will close to traffic. from this Monday June 17, 2024.

The Olympics and the July 14 parade

Avenue Foch (16th) will close between Porte Dauphine and Avenue Raymond Poincaré both ways from June 17 to July 20. This year it must host the July 14 parade which cannot be held on the Champs-Élysées due to the Paris 2024 Olympics.

Finally, for motorists on avenue du Maréchal Gallieni (7th), you will have to be patient even longer, since it will be closed from this Monday and until September 25while the dismantling operations of the Olympic sites are completed.

The avenue is in fact close to the Seine which will host the opening ceremony on July 26, but also and above all from the Invalides website where the archery events will be held.

It won’t just be the roads that will experience upheaval this June 17. The Concorde and Tuileries stations will also close and will not reopen until the end of September.
