Genève-Servette is pleased to announce the extension of Vincent Praplan for the next four years. The 30-year-old Swiss striker will wear the Garnet jersey, with which he became Swiss and European champion, until the end of the 2028-2029 season!

It had become an open secret! He was one of the most sought-after attackers currently, but it was clear to him that he wanted to stay in Geneva: Vincent Praplan extends his contract with the GSHC for four seasons! Since his arrival in Geneva, the original Valaisan has found balance. The team’s top Swiss scorer over the last two seasons (71 points in 137 games), Vincent is a right-handed scorer, gifted and therefore rare! He was one of the great architects of the titles of Swiss champion 2023 and European champion 2024. His wish is to relive these intense emotions with Genève-Servette.

Vincent Praplan has had a rich career! After a stint in the OHL to complete his junior studies, he shined with Kloten in the National League. With performances regularly around 40 points per season, he attracted the attention of the San José Sharks in the NHL. After a season in North America, the striker decided to return to Switzerland and signed a contract with Bern (2019). It was only in 2022 that he set down his bags at the end of the lake and finally found what he had always been looking for: a team where he felt good and happy. This has greatly benefited GSHC and its supporters, since he is one of the players most appreciated by Vernets regulars.

Vincent Praplan is not about to leave Geneva and will defend his colors until the end of the 2028-2029 season.

Marc Gautschi: “We are happy that Vincent remains a Garnet. Since his arrival, he is quite simply our best Swiss scorer. Additionally, he has become an important leader, whether on or off the ice. He has therefore had a great influence on our latest successes and will continue to play a major role for us in the future. »

Vincent Praplan : “Since I arrived at the Club more than two seasons ago, the team has become my second family and the Vernets my second home! Together we have written the most beautiful stories of the Club and we will do everything to write others”
