Former Stade de Reims players, actors, comedians, figures of Reims life, 14 personalities will compete from 8 p.m. this Wednesday, during a charity futsal match at the Arena de Reims. Titled “Galaxy all stars, the royal match”, This event aims to raise funds for four associations.

This is the 4th consecutive year that a charity football match has been organized in Reims. But this is the first time it will be played at the Arena. And unlike a usual football match, there will not be eleven per team, but seven. And to attract a maximum audience, the organizers promise a real “gala match”.

Malik Kaddhan, president of Reims Galaxy, the club organizing this charity match, specifies that two selections will oppose each other for two 45 minutes. The All Stars Reims, with “75% of former Stade de Reims players”. And the Celebrity All Stars, a team made up in particular of former players of the France team, such as Djibril Cissé.

“The battle is going to be tough”

Among the personalities from Reims who agreed to put on their crampons again, is Mickaël Tacalfred. Former Stade de Reims player from 2008 to 2016, he believes that “the battle is going to be tough”, notably against Djibril Cissé, “a formidable adversary”. Even if the priority of this match remains “the associative aim”.

All profits linked to ticketing will be donated to four associations. Three national associations, the Little Brothers of the Poor, Ela and Coral Guardian, as well as a Reims structure, the Roseau association, which aims to improve the quality of life of children suffering from cancer and leukemia, hospitalized at the Reims University Hospital.

Last year, this charity match, which was held at the Auguste Delaune stadium, notably made it possible to offer a check for 4,100 euros to the Roseau association. For this Wednesday, 2,000 spectators have already taken their places according to organizers, but tickets are still on sale on the Ticket Master website and directly on site, at the Reims Arena ticket office. They are sold between 9 and 15 euros.
