This Tuesday, June 11, Thibau Nys (Lidl – Trek) won his eighth professional victory by winning the third stage of the Tour de Suisse, the second in the World Tour of his career. After 161.7 km of racing, between Steinmau and Rüschlikon, the son of cyclo-cross legend Sven Nys beat Stephen Williams (Israel-Premier Tech) and Alberto Bettiol (EF Education) in the sprint. The latter also took the opportunity to take the leader’s jersey at the expense of Yves Lampaert (Soudal Quick-Step).

But the Italian should lose it this Wednesday, June 12, with the first arrival at altitude at the top of the Gotthardpass (8.1 km at 6.7%).
