Kylian Mbappé's debut at Real Madrid was not easy, and he has regularly been criticized for his disappointing performances over the past three months.

That continued on Tuesday after Los Blancos' 3-1 defeat to AC Milan in the Champions League, in another game where the 25-year-old failed to stand out.

Mbappé's compatriot, Thierry Henry, spoke about the situation during his intervention on CBS (via Sport), and he did not hesitate to criticize.

Henry criticizes Mbappé

« It's almost always Bellingham who tries to make the runs, to make the team play. He's always the one trying to break the lines. Who runs and tries to reach the finish line? It’s Bellingham who does Mbappé’s work. This may happen from time to time, but not all the time. Do you think Bellingham likes to make these runs to stretch the team? He does it because he has the desire and the will to do it. »

“We have to give him time, but he must learn to play as a 9 and have the desire and the will to do so. I think the team is frustrated with him, which I can understand. »

Mbappé's struggles are the epitome of Real Madrid at the moment. Both the player and the club need to improve significantly offensively, otherwise it could be a disastrous season at the Santiago Bernabeu.
