The Canadian received a visit from the Calgary Flames at the Bell Center yesterday.

Despite a 3-2 defeat in overtime after taking a 2-1 lead at the end of the match, there are still positives to come out of this match.

The CH players came out very strong, dominating their opponents throughout the first period. It took an impressive performance from the goalkeeper Dustin Wolf to keep the mark equal 0 to 0 after 20 minutes.

But another aspect of the meeting attracted attention yesterday.

The day after the visit of the former striker Marc Bureau at the team’s training to teach his knowledge of faceoffs to the team’s center players, the impact was immediate on the ice.

As reported RDSthe attackers Christian Dvorak (74%), Nick Suzuki (63%) et Jake Evans (56%)all had a solid night at the faceoff circle yesterday.

This is an immediate and undeniable improvement.

It now remains to be seen whether Martin St. Louis will ask Bureau to come back more often and especially if the team’s center players continue on this path.

See the post at the bottom.
