Ronaldinho will not be visiting Quebec on November 30 just to meet people there before leaving. He intends to leave a “legacy” there, according to his agent Nilton Leao, who assures that it was “very important” for the world superstar to travel to the Old Capital.
Ronaldinho is on a world tour to meet young people, promote healthy lifestyle habits and implement his R10 Futsal program.
This is also what is expected in Quebec on November 30.
“Ronaldinho is very excited about the idea of implementing a futsal program in Canada and doing it in Quebec. He chose this place,” assured his representative Nilton Leao at a press conference in Quebec on Wednesday.
For beginners, futsal is actually the term given to indoor soccer.

The details surrounding the creation of this program in Quebec will be announced on November 30, assured Mr. Leao subsequently, who did not want to give additional details.
Mr. Leao also wore an orthopedic boot on his left foot due to a fracture on Wednesday. A sign, he assures, of Ronaldinho’s desire to come to Quebec and continue his mission among young people.
“It’s very important to him. If it wasn’t, I wouldn’t be here for a day trip to Quebec with a broken foot. It is a project that allows him to continue his name and his legacy. To have your name and your heritage in Canada is very important.
“He will not come here to create the next soccer star in Canada. He will be here to motivate young people through sport in general. If it’s through soccer, so much the better. If it’s through hockey, same thing. The goal is to promote healthy lifestyle habits.”
Why Quebec?
Ronaldinho’s visit to Quebec was made possible through the Performance Group, which has already attracted several other personalities to Quebec, including Georges St-Pierre and Raymond Bourque, and which is also working on other projects, notably the former boxer Roy Jones Jr.
But why choose Quebec?
“I return the question to you: why not? Leao replied. First, we need trustworthy people, and we found them with the Performance Group. For Ronaldinho, it is not just an academy, but a long-term project. And that’s why Quebec and Groupe Performance were the right choice.”
Several activities
Ronaldinho’s visit will be divided into three parts on November 30.
It will first begin with a general public section, during which between 2,500 and 3,000 young people will be able to meet him in the afternoon at the Telus-ULaval Stadium.
In the evening, he will take part in a happy hour with business people at the Ste-Foy Toyota dealership, where the mayor of Quebec Bruno Marchand will give him the keys to the city.
Then, a VIP-type event will be held in the evening at the Blaxton of the Videotron Center.
Tickets will be available from Thursday 10 a.m. on the Performance Group website.
