Have you already heard of the Wild Trail Flamanville?
Around sixty members
Since its creation, in 2022this association brings together the running enthusiasts. They find themselves on training slots every dayat midday and in the evening, because they prefer group spirit to solo sessions.
And we can say that the initiative has gained momentum, with already around sixty members who regularly survey the wood trails of Flamanville (Manche) and the GR22 paths3.
This year, head for the Telethon!
For this first edition of the cross, Sunday November 17, 2024the Wild Trail Flamanville is joining forces with the Telethon, with the desire to raise funds pour support research and the affected families.
This cause is particularly close to the hearts of organizers who took over the “Tel est ton Trail” niche, giving it a new lease of life with a competition in cross format. Why the Telethon?
Because beyond performance, it is an opportunity to provide real support. This day will be held in partnership with the municipality of Flamanville and EDF, which support the event logistically and financially. All funds will be donated to the AFM Téléthon.
A sports day for all ages
On the program of this major sporting and solidarity eventenough to make you sweat all generations. Departure from 9 a.m. for hikesan 8 km walk and a 15 km walk are offered for those who prefer a sporty walk.
“Be careful of muddy paths!” Prepare your best shoes,” advise the organizers. Quant at the racesthe “La Coquaise” cross will see participants compete from 10 a.m. on a 10 km course, while a popular race, the “La Vallée” cross, of 7.5 km will follow at 11:15 a.m.
At the beginning of the afternoon, place for the youngest. Cross races are planned for all age groups : The “Jules-Ferry” for the little ones, early learners (born in 2016 and after) and chicks (born in 2014-2015) will be able to set off over a suitable distance of 1 km.
At 2 p.m., The “Lucien-Goubert” intended for young children (born in 2012-2013) and toddlers (born in 2010-2011), this 3.13 km course allows slightly older children to challenge themselves. Finally, at 3 p.m., “La Valtac” for cadets (born in 2008-2009) and juniors (born in 2006-2007), a 5.64 km course is planned.
And that’s not all, each child will leave with a medalpour immortalize your participation .
THE First 100 registered will receive a special soup tote bag. To warm up properly, their partner MC GYM will be present for prepare the muscles au technical coursewhich awaits the participants.
A festive and friendly spirit
To make this day even more festive, Canton Batuk will host the partners’ village in music with Brazilian percussion to bring a good dose of good humor.
The SNSM Diélette and the Flamanville APE will also be there to offer pancakeset on-site catering . And icing on the cake, an Olympic torch of the JO 2024 will be present for the occasion!
Some members of the Wild Trail Flamanville, having had the honor of being bearers, were given a copy of the Olympic torch a few days ago. They will talk about their experience and will share the emotionof this moment with pleasure.
Who are they?
The association officecomposed of Kenny Benard (president), David Cottebrune (vice-president), Aurélie Duthoit-Boulay (treasurer), Thomas Le-Royer (vice-treasurer), Ingrid Richard (secretary) as well as members Mioara Achelaritei, Nicolas Marseille, Vincent Drouart and Rémi Lebarbier, are in charge of the organization of this solidarity event .
Ces trail and nature enthusiastshave fully invested themselves so that this day full of sport of sharing and of good moodeither a success.
