The Laval Rocket could hardly have a more efficient start to the season. A defeat in nine games is no small thing.
The arrival of Pascal Vincent, a more experienced driver than Martin St-Louis, was obviously a good move. In terms of development, he knows what he’s talking about, having spent time in junior hockey, the AHL and the NHL with clubs that didn’t always have the potential to win every night.
And it shows since development is often praised in Laval. Just yesterday, Joshua Roy, at 5 to 7, praised the development there.
Yesterday, we made some progress on the comments of Vincent Demuy, who told BPM Sports that he found that the guys who arrived in Laval from Montreal did so with bad habits.
After all, these are important words.
The Rocket match analyst alongside Anthony Marcotte also finds that there is a certain comfort zone in Montreal that is not necessarily found on the Laval side.
And in my eyes, that means something, all of that.
After all, there aren’t many players in Laval who are guaranteed to play every night, given all the depth there is in the city. And those who are insured want a call back to Montreal…
Result? Everyone pushes themselves.
Vincent Demuy managed to put words to a situation we see in Montreal: the guys are too comfortable. They are entitled to a comfort zone which is still quite large.
And we can blame it on the coach who is also developing at the top, but it seems that in Montreal, the guys are not afraid of playing badly. And they don’t really have any reason to be afraid either.
If only Martin St-Louis had an NHL veteran by his side to advise him to leave Christian Dvorak aside…
Last Saturday, it was better for the CH after a punishing training. Will the guys play like they threw up on themselves tonight? The answer in a few hours.
