Across the NHL: More fear than harm for Kyle Connor

Winnipeg Jets forward Kyle Connor participated in his team’s practice Monday after leaving Sunday’s game following a hit by Nikita Kucherov of the Tampa Bay Lightning.

Connor has nine goals and 19 points in 12 games this season.

Defender Ville Heinola (ankle) and forward Jaret Anderson-Dolan (foot) participated in their first full training since suffering injuries before the start of the season. They both wore uniforms meaning they couldn’t take any contact.

Miles Wood on the sidelines

The Colorado Avalanche announced Monday that they have placed forward Miles Wood on the injured list retroactive to October 28. The 29-year-old suffered an upper-body injury on October 28 against the Chicago Blackhawks. He has scored one goal in 10 games this season.

Valeri Nichushkin has also been cleared to practice with the team, but remains in Stage 3 of the NHL and NHLPA Player Assistance Program.

Ivan Ivan, Nikolai Kovalenko and Nikita Prishchepov were recalled from the Colorado Eagles in the American Hockey League.

Ostapchuk recalled to Ottawa

The Ottawa Senators recalled forward Zack Ostapchuk from the AHL’s Belleville Senators on Monday morning.

Ostapchuk appeared in three games with Ottawa this season, recording one assist. In six games with Belleville, he had one goal and four assists.
