The Senegalese international from Damac in Saudi Arabia, Habib Diallo scored his fourth goal of the season in the league on Friday, while his compatriots from Turkey Alassane Ndao, Mame Baba Thiam and Mamadou Fall are setting the Super Lig on fire.
Since his return from the October international break with Senegal, Habib Diallo has not stopped in the championship, the Lions striker has scored one goal after another. This Friday, he achieved his third goal in a row, his fourth of the season, against Al Riyadh, in the draw (2-2), on the ninth day of the Saudi Pro League.
His compatriots Sadio Mané (Al-Nassr) and Kalidou Koulibaly (Al-Hilal), who faced each other on the same day, drew (1-1).
Mané came off in the 83rd minute while Koulibaly played the entire match.
Injured again last week, just after his return from injury, Edouard Mendy did not attend the defeat of his team Al-Ahly against Al-Ittihad (0-1).
In Türkiye, Alassane Ndao of Konyaspor distinguished himself during the eleventh day of the Super Lig by scoring a hat-trick against Basahsekir. The team based in the city of Konya won, 3-2. Scorer last week, Ndao has scored four goals since the start of the championship.
The other Senegalese to have distinguished himself in the Super Lig is Mame Baba Thiam. The 32-year-old striker gave victory to his team Eyüpspor, after scoring a double. It’s his third goal in a row, his sixth of the season.
Mamadou Fall from Kasimpasa, scorer and double decisive passer, participated in his team’s great success, 3-1, against Beşiktaş.
In the Serbian SuperLiga, Cherif Ndiaye scored his tenth goal of the season, during the 3-0 success against Vojvodina, on the 14th day. The Senegalese striker scored his club’s third goal in the 45th minute of the first half.
In Poland, Mbaye Jacques Ndiaye, former player of Teungueth FC (Senegal) scored for the second time with Motor Lublin, in the Ekstraklasa (Polish championship).
In the English Premier League, Everton (16th) of Idrissa Gana Gueye and Iliman Ndiaye lost, 0-1, to Southampton (19th), during the tenth day. The Toffees had not lost in the league since the fourth day against Aston Villa (2-3), on September 9, 2024.
Crystal Palace (17th) of Ismaïla Sarr drew, 2-2, against Wolverhampton. Sarr came out in the 90th minute.
Author of a good performance with Tottenham (7th), during the North London derby against Aston Villa (6th), Pape Matar Sarr strongly participated in the great success of the Hotpurs, 4-1. The Senegalese midfielder played the entire match.
In French Ligue 1, Angers (15th) of Bamba Dieng and Ibrahima Niane beat, 1-0, Monaco (2nd) of Lamine Camara and Krepin Diatta, during the tenth day. Niane came out in the 90th minute replaced by Dieng. Diatta, starting for the first time this season, played the entire match, while Camara came off in the 80th minute.
Moussa Niakhaté made his fifth start with Lyon (6th) on Saturday against Lille. The two teams tied, 1-1.
Brest (11th), still without the injured Abdallah Sima, lost, 0-1, at home, against Nice.
Nampalys Mendy’s Lens and Habib Diarra’s Strasbourg lost respectively against Paris Saint-Germain (0-1) and Saint-Etienne (0-2).
In French Ligue 2, Amadou Sagna from Guingamp scored during the match of the 12th day against Grenoble from Pape Meissa Ba, silent this day. The Guingampais won, 3-0.
In the Czech Republic, Slavia Prague of El Hadji Malik Diouf, leader of the Fortuna Liga, drew (1-1) against Hradec Kralove.
In the Spanish La Liga, Senegalese Pape Gueye did not play this weekend, with Villarreal, because of the tsunami which affected the Valencia region (Eastern Spain). His club’s match north of Valencia against Vallecano was postponed, as was the match between Valencia and Real Madrid.
These floods caused the deaths of more than 200 people.
In the Italian Serie A, Boulaye Dia’s Lazio de Rome plays Monday at 7:45 p.m. GMT against Cagliari.
