The Senegalese Judo Federation has also signed a contract with SOGIP (Society for the Management of Public Infrastructures of the Urban Poles of Diamniadio and Lac Rose) which manages the infrastructure to hold the International Judo Open from 21 to 24 November 2024.
On the basketball side, the Federation says it has contacted the Ministry of Sports directly for its event (November 22, 23 and 24), as during each window. However, the president of the body, Me Babacar Ndiaye reveals that there are risks of sanctions if the window is not played at Dakar Arena. “The Federation called the Chief of Staff of the Minister of Sports who will shortly bring together the parties concerned (the 2 federations) and discuss. So, there is no reason to worry, especially since there is a risk of receiving sanctions if Dakar Arena does not host the competition,” he suggested in this video used by Senego.
