On the road to the Morocco Women’s Champions League 2024: AS FAR

AS FAR (Sports Association of the Royal Armed Forces) marked the history of African women’s football with its remarkable performances in the CAF Women’s Champions League. In 2021, AS FAR participated in the first edition of the competition, making a name for itself on the continental scene by reaching the semi-finals of the tournament. The following year, the team continued to progress, posting solid performances during the 2022 edition, until capturing the title on home soil.


How the team qualified

For the 2024 season, AS FAR qualified for the Women’s Champions League as champion of the tournament’s host country. Although the Militaires also won the UNAF tournament, their qualification for the Champions League stemmed from their status as host club, thus strengthening their position as a high-level representative of Moroccan women’s football.


The player: Najat Badri
