Entrepreneurs in the Berthierville region are ready to do anything so that the statue of Gilles Villeneuve can return to its museum. They offered a reward so that the work would be found and returned.

GM Paillé, Azimut POS and B&G Race Fuels Canada offered $12,000 for the statue to be found and reinstalled on its base.

“Possible to return the statue to the GM Paillé site, in Berthierville (north shore) or to the Sanair site (south shore). No questions! The important thing is to bring Gilles back to his museum,” we can read on the Facebook post.

According to the Journal de Montréal, inventor entrepreneur Richard Arel, who owned the Madrid relay, is offering $20,000 to anyone who is able to provide information that could lead to the arrest of the criminals.

It is feared that the statue will be melted down in order to recover the bronze and then sell it.

The investigation by the Sûreté du Québec continues to try to catch the criminals and find the statue which was stolen during the night from Wednesday to Thursday.
