Charles Jourdain really needed a victory after losing in his last two outings in the octagon and he achieved it brilliantly on Saturday night in Edmonton during UFC Fight Night.
Jourdain (16-8-1), who moved up a weight division and faced Victor Henry (24-7-0) at bantamweight, showed off his full arsenal on the ground in the second round.
He brilliantly passed the guillotine to his rival who, out of breath, had to give up his arms. Watch in the video above.
“It’s my baby, my bread and my butter,” said the main person concerned about his favorite hold, in an interview with TVA Sports. “It’s my second victory in the UFC thanks to that.”
Jourdain thus enjoys a first victory since September 2023. He defeated Ricardo Ramos, also by guillotine.
“I have a little boy who is on the way with my wife Clarence,” confided the pugilist. Hector Jourdain is coming. I dedicate this victory to my little man.”
