Maxime Grousset scored two victories this Friday in the basin, like the day before.

Maxime Grousset, already victorious in two events on Thursday, again signed a double on Friday on the second day of the French Short Course Swimming Championships in Montpellier. The 25-year-old New Caledonian won the main race, the 100m freestyle, in 46 sec 13, enough to ensure his qualification over the distance for the World Championships scheduled for December in Budapest. Moments earlier, he had also won the 50m breaststroke.

Opening Thursday, the Olympic bronze medalist had already won the 100m butterfly and 100m medley.

For her part, Béryl Gastaldello, victorious in the 100m medley on Friday after the 100m freestyle on Thursday, offered herself a second ticket for the Worlds in Hungary.

Damien Joly and Pauline Mahieu also achieved the minimums for Budapest, in the 1500m and 200m backstroke respectively.
