Neuchâtel Xamax did a bad job on Friday in the Challenge League by losing 4-1 at home against Wil. At Pontaise, SLO snatched a point, but deserved better against Vaduz.
Neuchâtel Xamax cannot find the solution against Wil, whom he has not beaten for two years. After being surprised 4-0 at the end of August at Bergholz, Uli Forte’s men once again showed themselves to be very fragile in front of the Saint-Gallois. However, they retain 3rd place in the hierarchy.
The score may seem harsh for the Rouge et Noir, who notably had a good first period and who were able to equalize through Saiz as soon as they returned from the locker room. But in the second half, the Neuchâtelois were too often overtaken by a devilishly effective Wil formation.
Kayombo et Caddy
Stade Lausanne-Ouchy is still struggling to advance in the standings. The arrival of Vaduz at Pontaise, however, allowed the relegated side to obtain a point. Although they led the score twice, thanks to Kayombo and Caddy, the Stadistes did not manage to maintain their advantage.
A victory would not have been undeserved for the SLO who spent a lot of time in the opponent’s time. But by conceding a goal at the worst time, just before the break, and offering a penalty to Vaduz, Stade Lausanne got itself into difficulty.
