After 12 seasons spent in the Great League, the readjustment to the European game was not immediate, but Evan Fournier clearly seems to be gaining momentum with Olympiakos. The Greek club has just had two important successes, in the Euroleague, against Real Madrid (79-69) and FC Barcelona (95-74).
Sent on a defensive mission on Facundo Campazzo but clumsy (10 points at 4/15 shooting) in the victory against the “Merengue”, the back of the Blues on the other hand displayed formidable offensive efficiency against the “Blaugrana” with 19 points to 6/9 shooting, including 3/6 from distance, and 4/4 on free throws!
Top scorer on his team, just ahead of Sasha Vezenkov and his 18 points, the former Magic and Knicks player only needed 16 minutes on the field to register his points.
And Olympiakos, beaten by Fenerbahce at the start of the season then by Anadolu Efes and Bayern Munich, now has a positive record (4 wins – 3 losses) in the premier European competition.
