The MotoGP world championship is relaunched again. Winner of the Thai GP, double title holder Francesco Bagnaia came back to 17 points behind leader Jorge Martin, 2nd in Buriram.

Starting from pole position on a wet track, Francesco Bagnaia was battling for a long time with Marc Marquez at the head of the race. But the Spaniard made a mistake in a corner with 13 laps to go, falling while riding on the curb. The way was then clear for Bagnaia, who celebrated his 9th Sunday success of the season. Jorge Martin was content to manage during the 2nd half of the race to finish at 2”905. Third, Pedro Acosta conceded 3”800 to the winner.

The world title will therefore be decided during the last two weekends of the season, in a week in Malaysia then on November 16/17 in Valencia. With the 12 points awarded to the winners of the sprints, no less than 37 points per stage can be scored.

Ogura crowned in Moto2

In Moto3, Noah Dettwiler could not do better than 23rd. The Basel rider conceded more than 40 seconds to the winner, Colombian world champion David Alonso, who triumphed for the 12th time in 18 races contested this season. In Moto2, the Japanese Ai Ogura secured the title by finishing 2nd.
