TRIATHLON: 3 Creusotins took part in the Hawaii Ironman

The magic of Kona… After a long preparation and a great season, it is the legendary race par excellence for our three Creusetins racing for the 2024 edition. A race like no other, in wind and snow conditions. warmth that makes the experience incredibly unique. For his 3rd participation, Thomas DUREY ranks 257th overall and 19th among 45-49 year olds (out of 335 athletes) in 9h23 mins. Always a strong swimmer, he leaves the water in 54 minutes, completes the 180 km cycle in 4h50 and the marathon in 3h29. For his first participation, Julien LIMBALLE ranks 625th out of 2287 participants with a full and homogeneous race in the three disciplines. He thus finished 141st out of 204 starters in 30-34 year olds with, in detail, 1h01 in swimming, 5h11 in cycling and 3h34 in the marathon). Finally, Alain ROUSSEAU returned to Hawaii for the 2nd time. He finished 1017th overall, entering the top 10 in his category (out of 159 60-64 year olds). He swims in 1h28 and does a bike ride (5h21) to take the best time in his category on foot (3h34).

After the performance of Elise POZZEBON in Nice also at the world championships this year, the CREUSOT TRIATHLON is proud of these long distance athletes, who also know how to give their time on a daily basis, for organizations and be present at Creuset events.

A big thank you also to our partners without whom these projects could never see the light of day, as well as to the city of CREUSOT for the quality of dialogue and the provision of infrastructure.
