The Kings World Cup is already over for Deptostra FC, the team led by videographer and influencer Céline Dept and ex-Red Devils captain Eden Hazard.

After its inaugural defeat in the first round against the Mexicans of Peluche Caligari (5-4), Belgium once again lost this Wednesday evening in the second round, against the Spaniards of Pio FC (3-4). The team notably composed of Nabil Jaadi (ex-Anderlecht), Lillo Guarneri (ex-Standard) and Jordy Gillekens (Francs Borains) is therefore eliminated from this competition of a new type created by ex-Barcelona player Gerard Piqué.

As a reminder, the teams compete 7 against 7 on a shorter field and over a shorter duration with unlimited changes and “secret weapons” that can turn everything upside down. Eden Hazard particularly paid the price, since he was suspended for no less than 4 minutes while his team was trailing. “My God!” exclaimed the Brainois in Spanish.

But this Wednesday’s meeting was above all punctuated by strange refereeing decisions, such as a penalty not awarded to Eden Hazard or a throw-in given to PIO FC even though it was a Spanish foot which had last touched the ball.

Here’s what you need to know about the Kings World Cup 2024: from Eden Hazard to Zlatan Ibrahimovic, 7-a-side play and former football stars going head-to-head

“Lunar” and shameful” decisions which made the Franco-Algerian streamer AmineMaTue, himself coach of the France Foot2Rue team, emerge victorious from their clash against PIO FC during the first round of the competition.

After its elimination, Deptostra FC expressed its frustration on social networks. “We could show more than 10 actions where the referees made absurd decisions. But we won’t put more energy into this. We will focus on ourselves, we did what we could. We all know what happened today. It’s a shame. It’s time for a new chapter. We love you all and we will always stand for respect and fair play!”, published the Belgian team on its Instagram account.

No hard feelings for Eden Hazard since the ex-Devils star offered his crampons to Rubens Sambueza, PIO FC player and ex-Argentinian pro footballer, at the end of the match. “A little gift for my children,” he rejoiced in an interview.
