Matches canceled at Roland-Garros, how much will spectators be reimbursed?

Due to the weather conditions at Roland-Garros, this Wednesday’s matches were canceled on the annex courts. Spectators will be compensated.

The terrible weather conditions got the better of Roland-Garros. The matches for this Wednesday, scheduled on the Simonne-Mathieu and on the annex courts, were canceled and postponed until Thursday (where the weather does not look much better).

There was a little bit of tennis at the start of the day, with around forty games until the interruption at 11:55 a.m. Then the spectators were invited to wait, first until 1:30 p.m., then 2:30 p.m., then 4:00 p.m. and finally 5:00 p.m. It was at that moment that the decision was made to cancel today’s meetings.

In this case, that is to say when less than 2 hours of tennis could be offered, spectators are fully reimbursed. They had spent 39 euros for the seat in the short annex, or 65 euros for a seat on the Simonne-Mathieu.

On the other hand, the various costs incurred (transport, accommodation) will remain their responsibility, as will the money spent in the aisles or in the store, to pass the time by taking a look at the matches taking place under one roof, on the Lenglen or the Central. And there will remain the frustration of this long and rainy day of waiting, for not much…
