La Maladrerie hits hard from its first announcement! The club, third in Regional 1, has secured the services of Nathan Laigneau. The central defender comes straight from Alençon, where he is coming off a big season finishing in second place in National 3. An indisputable starter, he played 19 matches. He has 99 matches in National 3 during a career which saw him stay five years in Alençon.

Before settling down in Orne, Nathan Laigneau had known several clubs in the Caen area, starting with Maladrerie that his father coached. The defender also played at Malherbe, Avant Garde, ASPTT Caen, Mondeville and Bretteville-sur-Odon. He then tasted National 3 for a first year with Bayeux, in 2018-2019.

Advanced discussions with Vincent Laigneau

According to our information, Maladrerie is in advanced discussions with Vincent Laigneau to take over from Tony Théault at the head of the first team. The coach, who is coming off a successful decade at Alençon, has already had two experiences within the Caen club, between 1988 and 1993, then in 2001-2002. His signature is not (yet?) recorded.
