Beaten by Alexander Zverev, did Rafael Nadal play his last match at Roland-Garros?

Rafael Nadal faced Alexander Zverev this Monday in the first round of Roland-Garros. A complicated draw for the Spaniard who was returning from injury as he faced the 4th in the world and winner of the Rome tournament. In the first set, there was no contest: Zverev was superior to his opponent. On the other hand, in the second round, there was a match. And what a match! The match was restarted even though Nadal was trailing 2 sets to 0 after also conceding the second set, this time in the tie-break. It was finally after more than three hours of fighting that Zverev eliminated Nadal, perhaps in his last match at Roland Garros. “I’m not entirely sure, but if this is the last time I stand in front of you, I want to make the most of it,” the Spaniard said after his defeat. “There is a large percentage who say I will not come back. But I enjoy traveling with my family and I feel better physically than I did two months ago. So I can’t say anything about my future. There will be the Olympics whatever happens. I hope I will be well prepared and have good feelings. I have won so many times here. I could never have dreamed of anything better. The sensations have always been magnificent.”
