It’s time to take stock. The incidents which broke out between OL and PSG supporters before the Coupe de France final, Saturday May 25, at the Fresnes toll booth will cost the Autoroute Exploitation Company (Sanef), but also the Eiffage Lille stadium Arena, owner of the Pierre-Mauroy stadium.

Sanef angry

During the first violence, which occurred on the A1 motorway at the Fresnes-lès-Montauban toll, several toll lanes were destroyed. Premises reserved for highway staff were also vandalized, while the station was damaged after a fire. Repair costs will be significant.

Estimates are in progress. This is very significant damage. We can estimate, at this stage, that between 500,000 and one million euros will have to be put on the table to repair what was destroyed. », indicated, on BFMTV, Vincent Fanguet, director of operations and customer experience at Sanef, the company that operates the A1 motorway. The director also indicated that Sanef has filed a complaint for the damage caused.

From the scrapyard to the Pierre-Mauroy stadium

The Pierre-Mauroy stadium did not escape damage, although it was certainly less costly. Stadium seats were torn off during the match and several tags were found in the enclosure. The toilets were also vandalized.

The Eiffage Lille stadium Arena will therefore have to take stock for its part, to measure the extent of this damage.
