For its last match of the season, CSB hosts leader TOAC on Sunday. For the occasion, strong winger Abdelaziz Oussi will play his last match in the CahorSauzet jersey.

This Sunday, the Palais des sports de Cahors will experience its last match of the 2023-2024 Pre-National season. For this final meeting of the season, CahorSauzet will meet, at 3:30 p.m., the leader of its remaining group, TOAC 2, which has only suffered defeat twice since January. A prestigious meeting between two teams who will play next season in the Pre-National. For the occasion, this will be the last meeting within CahorSauzet Basket for strong winger Abdelaziz Oussi who will celebrate his 44th birthday on May 29.
Aziz Oussi has been living his passion for the orange ball for 33 years. Born in Armentière and Franco-Moroccan (originally from Agadir) by his parents, he did all his training as a youth basketball player in the Armentières club before playing two seasons as a senior in the same club (Regional 2). He then played at Wambrechies (Pré-National) then at Mons en Bareuil (N.3) before leaving his native North for the Lot in 2002-2003 in N.2 (coach Bruno Prouillac).
This was followed by the discovery of the Landes at Serre-Gaston (N.2) where he won the “Landes World Cup” before joining Mont-de-Marsan (N.2) where he won the South-West Super Cup. . He then played a season in N.3 at Valence-Condom before returning to the North at Wasquehal in N.3 for ten seasons.
Having known his wife in the Lot, he decided to get closer to his wife’s family and signed for Montauban in 2020 in N.3 before ending his career with the CSB during the last two seasons. We met him before this last match of the season.
What is your feeling before playing your last match with CSB?
I have a mixed feeling after these last two complicated seasons, even if last season we managed, without trembling, to obtain maintenance thanks to our performances at home, but this season we have never been calm.
A message to send to the CSB?
I would like to thank my president Eric Brehier (for whom this will also be the last match as president) who never gave up on us in difficult times like the rest of my teammates. Jonathan Castanier and Philippe Rouchy came to pick me up and coming back to the CSB, 22 years later, brought back lots of good memories like the victory (84/80) against Boulazac, undefeated and future French champion of N.2, and then the meeting my wife.
Your adventure with the CSB ends this Sunday, are you sad?
No, I said it and decided at the start of the season. I have three children, two of whom play basketball. I’m fine physically but mentally, I need to take a breather. I might still play at a lower level for the enjoyment of the game.

All CSB youth club teams will be presented before the pennant team match.
