This May 22, 2024, Loterie Romande has published its 2023 activity report relating to the distribution of profits by the six French-speaking cantons. In the canton of Neuchâtel three bodies are responsible for examining the files submitted, these are the Cantonal Allocation Fund of Loterie Romande which is allocated 10% of the profit; the balance is distributed at 85% for the Neuchâtel Distribution Commission and 15% for the LoRo Sport Neuchâtel Commission, according to the statutes of Loterie Romande. In 2023, 719 requests received support for a total amount of 16,948,076 francs.

The six French-speaking cantons (Vaud, Fribourg, Valais, Neuchâtel, Geneva and Jura) authorize the operation of Loterie Romande and receive all of its profits. After payment of the prizes, operating costs and 0.5% for the prevention of excessive gambling, the profits are entirely devoted to supporting public utility institutions in French-speaking Switzerland. Thousands of non-profit institutions or associations benefit, directly or indirectly, from Loterie Romande’s contributions. For the canton of Neuchâtel, three entities manage distribution of profits.

LoRo Sport Neuchâtel Commission (LoRo-Sport NE):

These concern annual support for clubs and associations, subsidies for the acquisition of equipment or construction and renovation of sports infrastructure, assistance for talented athletes as well as regional performance centers or even the contribution to sporting events.
