Toni Kroos announced this Tuesday in a press release that he will end his career after Euro 2024, at the age of 34.

Real Madrid’s German midfielder Toni Kroos announced in a press release on Tuesday that he would end his career this summer after Euro 2024, at the age of 34.

“My football career will end this summer, after the Euro. As I have always said, Real Madrid is and will be my last club” wrote the German international on Instagram, ensuring that his ambition had always been to “finish at (his) best level”.

“July 17, 2014, the day of my presentation to Real Madrid, the day that changed my life. My life as a footballer, but above all as a person. It was the start of a new life within the greatest Club in the world. Today, after 10 years, at the end of the season, this life will end,” added the Madrid midfielder, whose contract ends in June.

The 2014 world champion assured that he now has “only one idea left in mind”: bringing Real its fifteenth Champions League, which would also be its sixth (five with Real Madrid, one with Bayern Munich). .
