This Sunday Manchester City hosts West Ham for the last day of the 2024 Premier League season. Leader with two points ahead of Arsenal, the Citizens are favored by the predictions and several scenarios would allow them to once again be crowned champions of England.

The 2024 Premier League season will have been full of suspense and it still continues with only one match remaining. In the lead before this last day of the championship, Manchester City will have their destiny in hand when they take the field against West Ham this Sunday (5 p.m.). With two points ahead of Arsenal, the Citizens have several possibilities of being crowned once again in the Premier League.

Three possible scenarios to see City crowned champion

Pep Guardiola’s men will inevitably win a ninth Premier League (the fourth in a row) if they win their match against the Hammers.

In the event that the Skyblues do not manage to get rid of West Ham, which has not happened since September 19, 2015 at the Etihad Stadium (2-1 victory for the Londoners at the time), the teammates of ‘Erling Haaland will have to hope that Arsenal do not win since the Gunners would return to equal points and have a better goal difference.

For City the equation is therefore quite simple, we must win to avoid depending on Arsenal. If they concede a draw or suffer a fourth defeat this season, they will have to cross their fingers that Mikel Arteta’s men do not manage to win against Everton because in this case the Gunners would be crowned in the Premier League for the first time since 2004.
