It was a complete or almost complete peloton which competed for victory at Chalkida, place of arrival of the 4th and penultimate stage of the Tour of Greece. The British Dylan Hicks (Saint Piran) was the fastest, ahead of the Pole Bartosz Rudyk (ATT Investments) and the Belgian Bo Godart (Tarteletto-Isorex). No change in the general classification, the Austrian Riccardo Zoidl (Team Felt Felbermayr) maintains his comfortable advantage after his demonstration on Friday), with 46 seconds ahead of his teammate and compatriot Hermann Pernsteinerand 1’33 on the Italian Valerio Conti (Team Corratec-Vini Fantini).

Who for the green jersey?

On hilly terrain but without great difficulty, no major upheaval was expected this Saturday, the day after the main stage. The sprinters therefore took advantage, and it was a young 20-year-old Briton who came out on top, signing his first victory at this level. Dylan Hicks short this season for the team Saint Piranafter having completed last season within the DSM Development Team.

The coronation of the veteran Riccardo Zoidl36, is therefore expected on Sunday for his first victory in a stage race since Czech Tour 2018. Note that there remains an issue for the points classification: Bartosz Rudyk And Bo Godart, respectively 2nd and 3rd in this 4th stage, are only 4 points apart, but there are around ten of them who can still hope to win the green tunic. See you on Sunday to distribute the last runners-up, on a stage similar on paper to that of the day, and a probable sprint in Athens.
