Toulouse must deal with injuries
After two consecutive defeats, which rarely happens in Toulouse, Ugo Mola’s men have put their heads back together by beating ASM 48 to 14 on the Ernest-Wallon pitch.
Now runner-up in the Top 14 with three points behind UBB, Toulouse will try to regain the throne this Saturday evening, on the lawn of Le Hameau, in Pau. However, the French champions will have to do without Romain Ntamack and Thomas Ramos, who left due to injury last weekend.
For the opener of the XV of France, a tear in his right calf should keep him away from the field for three to four weekswhile Ramos suffers a blow to the hand. Nothing very serious for the latter who will only miss the travel to Béarn.
Thus, Toulouse will face Pau with a reshuffled team, but still competitive, starting with the first line with Rodrigue Neti, Julien Marchand and Joël Merkler who should start. Hugo Reilhes and Dorian Aldegheri would be on the bench.
In the cage, Toulouse would leave with two internationals in the presence of Thibault Flament and Emmanuel Meafou. In the third line, repeats with Cros, Jelonch and Roumat who will hold their place. Note the return of Jack Willis among the finishers.
The hinge will be unique, with Antoine Dupont repositioned at the opening for this meeting, and associated with his former teammate at Auch, Paul Graou. The pair of centers will be made up of Barassi and Delibes, who has a string of good performances.
For the trio at the back of the field, Matthis Lebel regains his starting place on the wing, and Juan Cruz Mallia also on the other side. Blair Kinghorn will be positioned with number 15 on his back, and in charge of shooting on goal.
