The Marine et Blanc club is no longer a dream in the Coupe de France, because the matches must be held behind closed doors, spoiling the football celebration. This is the meaning of Cédric Borie’s testimony in Sud Ouest.
“The Girondins are a boat that sails by sight”
Cédric Borie, president of CMO Bassens in South West: “When the draw was announced, we were happy. It could have been the great celebration of Gironde football. do (…) Initially, all amateur clubs dream of having the Girondins in the draw. Now, no one wants to come across them. That says it all, the Girondins are a boat that sails by sight. The problem does not only come from the management, everyone must take responsibility, even in the stands I would have loved to receive the ultras to discuss with them.
The 5th round match of the Coupe de France will be played this evening behind closed doors at the Stade Sainte-Germaine du Bouscat at 8:30 p.m. The match is broadcast on the internet by Sud Ouest and TV7.
