Vannes logically qualified for the 6th round of the Coupe de France on Sunday in Saint-Avé. Scoring goals at key moments, the Vannes residents were never worried.

A year after standing up to Vannes OC (0-1), the Avéens hoped to further doubt the residents of N3. But they did the work seriously and with discipline to avoid any fear.
Vincent Demoulin’s partners started off rather well with a lot of desire and dynamism. But Vannes quickly put itself on a royal road. A long ball from Bourlès deflected with a header by Boubaya allowed Clémandot to open the scoring after ten balanced minutes (0-1; 12′). A dream start for the Vannes who mastered the debates rather well even if Saint-Avé competed in sequences and in engagement with numerous duels won. Moisan with a header over the top (15′) and Moureaux with a full-range shot (33′) didn’t really worry Petitgenet, however.
The match then went into added time when Moisan cut down Amanakow in the area. Piquionne did not tremble against Merré and allowed the Voc to return to the locker room with two goals (0-2; 45’+ 1). “Opening the score and scoring the second before half-time was the ideal scenario. But we went looking for it because we had game intentions. We didn’t want to purr,” explained Sylvain Didot.
Michel (Saint-Avé): “Not rigorous enough”
The Vannes coach then saw his team put an end to Avenian hopes. Thior, with a brilliant strike from 30 meters found Merré’s top corner (0-3; 47′). The rest of the match was then very long for the helpless Tangos, like this shot from Lanoë captured by Petitgenet (75′).
They even conceded a final goal from young Mariello, who participated in the celebration at the end of the match (0-4; 90’+ 2). “I’m happy with what the guys did,” said Jérôme Michel, the Aveen coach. We held the ball more than last year. We didn’t get out of our 30 meters anymore. We have matured over the past year. The group is more solid. It’s just that we weren’t rigorous enough for a Cup match against a N3. »
