Juventus won the Italian Cup for the 15th time in its history by beating Atalanta 1-0 in the final on Wednesday in Rome. Dusan Vlahovic scored the only goal of the match after 4 minutes of play. Charles De Ketelaere played the first half for Atalanta.

Juventus opened the scoring in the 4th minute thanks to Dusan Vlahovic. The Serbian, launched by Andrea Cambiaso, resisted the return of Isak Hien, presented himself in front of Marco Carnesecchi and deceived the right goalkeeper.

De Ketelaere looked dangerous in the 34th minute, but he couldn’t get his half-volley on target. The Red Devil was replaced by El Bilal Touré at the break.

The second half was lively. Vlahovic thought about doubling the lead with a header, but the referee canceled his goal with a header, after intervention by the VAR, for off-target (73rd).

The two teams took turns finding the amount. First Atalanta, with a shot from Ademola Lookman from the entrance to the rectangle pushed back by the post (81st). Juventus then via Fabio Miretti, shifted to the right of the rectangle after a ball recovered by the ‘Bianconeri’ in the opposing camp. His shot failed on the crossbar (84th).

At the end of the match, Mattia Perin diverted Ederson’s shot, ensuring the success of Juventus (90th + 4).

Juventus adds a 15th ‘Coppa Italia’ to its list of achievements, a record. The Old Lady’s last success in this competition dates back to 2021 and a final won, already, against Atalanta. It was also the last trophy won by the Turin club.

Atalanta was aiming for a second success in the competition. The ‘Dea’ will play the Europa League final against Leverkusen on May 22.
