A busy Sunday for the Cahors Tennis Club teams

Four meetings were on show this Sunday, May 12 for Tennis Club Cahors licensees. Three took place at home and one outside.

Let’s start with the team which traveled to Labastide-Saint-Pierre, the 1st women’s team in the Pyrenees championship. After the singles, Cécile Ramisse, Candice and Floriane Vairon had a small lead, a lead reinforced by the two points scored following the doubles. It’s an excellent scenario for this team which comes out of the group stage undefeated and will therefore continue the adventure in the final table.

Still among the ladies, team 2 welcomed Castelsarrasin. It was once again a very good day for Sohie Heduy, Fanja Castarede, Mathilde Poinçon and Adrianne Verniolle. They win 4/1!

A hotly contested duel against Bretenoux

For the men, team 2 faced Bretenoux in a staggered match. After the singles, Cahors led 3/1, in particular thanks to a hotly contested duel from Kevin Jacquot which swung in his favor. The Cadurcien confirmed his good form, associated with Bertrand Héricher in doubles, to win, in the super tie-break, the two points synonymous with final victory.

Finally, in the afternoon, the Raquettes lotoises team played the semi-final of the competition against Saint-Céré. After the singles, the two teams were tied. Unfortunately, the doubles eluded the local players in the super tie-break as well. A little hint of disappointment undoubtedly for Lisa Faurie, Elena Camillo Jaquez, Chloé Bernadou and Emilie Geffroy. They will nevertheless soon play the “small final”.
